Hi everyone! I am SO excited to be launching Tiffany Chao Photography, LLC! This business has been a dream of mine since 2021, and I am so thrilled that it is finally happening!
My photography journey started during the 2020 quarantine period with my little Folding Happiness YouTube channel (I haven’t uploaded since 2021 but apparently I have over 1,000 subscribers now?!). When my little no-budget YouTube channel was active, I spent approximately ten hours a week filming videos with my iPhone, editing, and marketing my channel. After a couple of months, I wanted to upgrade my video setup and eventually received a camera as a holiday present! However, instead of using the camera for taking videos (which was the original intention), I wanted to learn how to take pictures. I spent all of my freshman year winter break learning how to use my camera, and here was the initial result!
As cute as our cat is, I eventually got bored and wanted to take pictures of other subjects. During 2021, when everyone was slowly coming out of quarantine, I started offering sessions to my friends to capture their special moments and to also get as much practice as I could!
My first ever session at a tulip field!

Every single one of my friends were so supportive, and a couple people suggested that I turn my hobby into a side business. It’s been almost two years after my first session, and after 20+ full sessions (and 70+ headshot mini sessions later) I am so excited that my business is finally launching!
I want to give one quick and cheesy thank you my friends and family for all their support not just during the last month, but from the beginning of my photography journey. They were the ones that trusted me enough from the beginning to squeeze into bushes, pose next to busy streets, smile at 7:30AM in 40 degree weather, and laugh at anything on cue (parked cars, windows, trees). While my goal was to make them feel comfortable and confident in front of my camera, they made me feel so relaxed and encouraged throughout the whole process.
Thank you for visiting the blog, I am looking forward to sharing sessions and updates in the future!
