P2 Fall Recap- California, Orgs, and Formal

I can’t believe the last time I posted was back in July! I have to admit- I got a bit lazy at the end of the summer since I was working six to seven days a week between my internship and my regular job. Then P2 Fall semester was a bit rough, but I passed 🎉 And amidst all of this… yes I’m still keeping up with photography- just need to get better at posting 😊

Since July, I’ve done quite a bit of shooting! I’ve taken lots of pictures for friends, family, and classmates, and I’m excited to share it all in this blog post!

One of the highlights of my Fall semester was traveling to California for three days for a pharmacy conference! There were a lot of firsts on this trip for me: first time presenting a poster, first time traveling with friends (and without my family), first time on a plane ride longer than two hours, first time dealing with jet lag, first time taking a red-eye flight, and the list goes on and on! At first, I was hesitant about bringing my camera because I had SO MUCH stuff to bring and I thought it would be a hassle, but it was definitely worth it!

I spent one day at the conference, and that left two days to sight-see! My friends and I took a trip to visit the Griffith Observatory in LA and I got some photos of my amazing friends! The traffic was worse than expected and I was so afraid that we would be too late to catch the sunset, but we caught the very end of it and got some great photos!

iPhone images coming up! First, thank you Stacey and Jess for snaping some photos of me 😊

Some group selfies!

Back to the professional photos… and back to photos in NJ!

I started off the school year by spending many nights in the pharmacy building- not studying… but taking pictures for 10 EMSOP organizations. I took a few pictures for EMSOP organizations last year, but took many more this semester!

Lots of staircase pictures coming!

One more set of pictures coming!

At the beginning of the semester, I shot some photos for the Rutgers EMSOP Class of 2026 Halfway There Formal! This was my first ever college party, and I was so glad that the class council trusted me to take photos for this event.

As someone who specializes in light and airy photography and heavily relies on natural light, I was shocked when I went into the bar and saw dark walls and flashing colored lights! It was a very different type of photography than what I am used to (and something I probably won’t be looking to do too often), but it was fun to try something new!

And that pretty much sums up my semester (also took a few headshots and art portfolio images for friends, but this post covered most of my work)! Looking forward to more photography sessions in the spring as I enter my second year in business!
