NYC Recap- June 2024

For the past year, I saw so many Instagram reels and YouTube videos about color analyses and I wanted to get one done myself! I found a location in Midtown Manhattan and booked an appointment at Seklab! In addition to this, my family and I were all able to free up our schedules for the weekend and decided to take a three-day weekend trip to NYC!

On our first and second night, we attempted to take some nice photos with my little Canon Rebel (that has served as my backup camera since March!) around Times Square! Since it was so crowded, on the second night, we found a little area in front of an ice cream shop and shot from there! Here are some of the photos from our second night in the city!

We took some photos the first day too! It was very crowded but we got lots of variety!

Time for some iPhone photos!

We ate a lot of good meals, and I got photos of some of them (I don’t typically take photos of food, but I tried to remember to do so on this trip!)

On the first day, we walked around some of the shops around Times Square, and I was so excited to see the Disney store!

The highlight of this trip for me was definitely getting a color analysis done at Seklab on the second day! I was a summer light and my “best” colors are white, ice pink, light purple, and light yellow (which happens to be the exact colors on my website- how perfect!). I can also handle summer cool, winter cool, and winter deep, but overall highly saturated colors are not good options for me and actually reflect onto my face. It was a very fun experience and I got lucky that I don’t have to change much with my wardrobe!

After the color analysis, we headed towards Time Square to watch Playbill Pride! We got free Wicked pins too 😊

On the third day, we spent more time walking around the city, and in the evening, we saw Hadestown at Walter Kerr

Even though it was raining, we decided to go to the stage door after the show! We were the very first ones right next to the door!
